Architecture
The Colony was designed by the noted Middleton, Wisconsin, architectural firm of Knothe & Bruce. Randy Bruce and his team wanted to make a clear architectural statement with The Colony. "While there are both Prairie and neo-classical elements in the design, overall, we wanted to make the building interesting to the pedestrian and make this building a design catalyst for restoration and redevelopment of this very nice near east side neighborhood". The main building will be a russet brick with white masonry trim, including a dentil row inset along the first floor.
